Parts of the textbook


a) Bibliography is a list of a book, articles etc. which provide further reading on the themes covered; usually found at the end.

b) Title page title ,author and publisher

c) Appendix is additional information,often for reference purses,found at the end of the book

d) Preface or introduction the author’s aims and the coverage of the book

e)  thank to people who have helped with the book

f) Contents a list of main topic by chapter

g) Chapters

Global Warming


1: Match the words with their meanings
1. Species=a plant or animal group
2. Extinct=no longer existing
3. Terrifying = very, very frightening
4. Irreversible=impossible to change or bring back
5. Assessment=a judgement or opinion
6. Underestimate (noun)= a wrong idea that something is smaller or less important than it really is
7. Conservation=the management of land and water to prevent it from being damaged or destroyed
8. To migrate=to move to another part of the world

2: Look in the text and correct the information in these sentences.
